SYMPTOMS

The symptoms of sensitive or hypersensitive teeth are very sore, localised stabbing pain but also mild and spread acrossthe entire surface of the teeth. It can be a momentary discomfort as well as adiscomfort and pain that lasts and heightens over time. It is a very commondental problem but one that should not be underrated.

The stabbing pain, which can be more or less painful, can appear at any time of the day:

with hot or cold temperatures: eating an ice cream or drinking a cocktail or even eating food that is too hot or quite simply breathing in very cold air in the winter
eating certain kinds of food: some, for example, that are too acidic or too sugary often cause pain
with oral hygiene: brushing your teeth or after dental hygiene treatment or professional whitening.

Very often, anyone who suffers from thisdiscomfort quite simply avoids such stimuli. But with a bit of care and specific products, the problem of sensitive teeth can be resolved withouthaving to give up anything.

In both cases, there is no longer a naturaldefence of the teeth at the nerve ends and they remain exposed to differentstimuli causing the typical short but acute pain associated with sensitiveteeth.
